Alan Gutierrez

Alan is the coordinator of Utah Youth for Environmental Solutions (UYES), whose mission is to connect students to environmental advocacy by cultivating reciprocal relationships between Utah’s youth, environmental organizations, and community leaders. He has worked closely with students to empower youth voices in the climate crisis and helped guide the Salt Lake City School District in adopting a 100% Clean Energy Resolution. He has also organized and participated in various climate‑focused events, including “Save Our Great Salt Lake” and initiatives with Utah’s Sierra Club Chapter.
